It's been a busy few days on the campaign trail, out knocking on doors and visiting with voters.
Yesterday I met an elderly gentleman who had just lost his wife.  I've been knocking on doors for many years and understand that the goal is to talk to as many voters as possible, but sometimes quality is better than quantity.  I spent about 15 minutes sitting on his porch while he told me about the woman he had spent 59 years with and it reminded me to take the time to offer friendship and comfort to those who need it.
